Awards Presented to JKU Master’s Thesis

Two junior JKU researchers were presented with awards in recognition of their valuable contribution to the automotive industry.

On November 5, 2021, after two years since the pandemic, the bicentenary foundation for professional association of Austria’s vehicle industry once again presented awards at the Graz University of Technology. The awards were presented to Diploma degree students and doctoral candidates in recognition of special interest work in support of the Austrian vehicle industry.

Belatedly with respect to 2020, DI Lukas Killingseder (Institute for Electrical Drives and Power Electronics) was presented with a first-place award for his Master’s degree thesis titled "Optimization and Control of a PMSM as a Starter Generator of an Internal Combustion Engine". Second place was presented to Daniel Adelberger (Institute for Design and Control of Mechatronic Systems) for his Master’s degree thesis titled "Collision Avoidance by Autonomous Braking and Steering".
