A Heart for Life – World Restart a Heart Day at the JKU
Medical students at the JKU created awareness to learn more about CPR in Linz.
Heat attacks are among the most common causes of death. Currently, only about 10% of those affected survive. Applying CPR during the first few minutes is crucial and could save up to 1,000 lives. Wednesday, October 16, was “World Restart a Heart Day” and at the Johannes Kepler University alone, over 200 people tried their hand and tested their CPR skills on a dummy. These skills could increase a person’s chances of survival by over 70%.
