Visiting Professor

We welcome Prof. John Schmitt from Middlebury College, who is going to spend part of his sabbatical at the Institute for Algebra.

Prof. Schmitt

Prof. Schmitt is an expert in combinatorics and graph theory, with a particular fondness for implementing the polynomial method. During his stay in Linz, he will collaborate with Oliver Roche-Newton and Erhard Aichinger. He will also give a special course on "The Polynomial Method for Combinatorial Problems", the details of which can be found in KUSSS. We welcome Prof. Schmitt to our group and hope that his stay will be scientifically rewarding.
