Special equipment - glass reactors

For the purpose of performing reactions with conditions as close to industry as possible several different glass reactors exist at the Institute for Chemical Technology of Organic Materials. With different sizes ranging from 100 mL up to 20 L a wide range exists. This also creates the possibility to up-scale the process before an industrial process is set up.

20 L Reactor

  • Double wall glass reactor
  • Pressure: Atmospheric pressure
  • Temperature regulation with a thermostat (-40 °C - 165 °C)
  • Volume: 20 L

5 L reactor

  • Double wall glass reactor
  • Pressure: Atmospheric pressure
  • Temperature regulation with a thermostat (20 °C – 275 °C)
  • Volume: 5 L

100-500 mL reactor

  • Pressure: vacuum and atmospheric pressure
  • Temperature regulation with a thermostat (25 °C – 200 °C)
  • Volume: 100-500 mL
  • Double wall glass reactor
  • 4-neck multipurpose lid
  • Anchor type agitator
  • Suitable also for corrosive reactions because of Teflon-coated components
