Circular Process Streams

Data Knowledge and Product Performance Interaction in Plastics Recycling Processes

“Circular Process Streams” deals with the central question how data knowledge management could innovate circular process streams and the demonstration of the performance potential of next generation processes by means of real pilot living labs.

In particular, the loop of recycling processes should be closed to receive a circular process. Recycling of plastic waste is one of the grand challenges of our time. This multi-firm project focuses on the evaluation of parameters influencing the properties of the recycled product. Different processing steps e.g. sorting, or washing are considered, since the feedstock of the recycling is very important.

The general project aim is the optimisation of the recycling process and its proof in pilot scale.
