Student Best Video Presentation Award (1st place)

The Student Best Video Presentation Award (1st place) has been awarded for the presentation of the paper "Estimation of Attenuation Coefficients from Simulated B-mode Ultrasound Images and Tissue Mimicking Materials" at the 6th International Conference on Sensors and Electronic Instrumentaton Advances, Porto, Portugal, held as a virtual conference from September 23-25, 2020.

IEEE I2MTC Best Student Paper Award - 2nd Place

Awarded for the paper titled "Measurement of Magnetic Microstructures with a Faraday Magnetometer" written in collaboration with Bernhard G. Zagar, Sebastian Michlmayr, and Johannes Egger for the scientific program of the IEEE I2MTC 2020, International Instrumentation & Measurement Technology Conference, Dubrovnik, held as a virtual conference from 25 May to 28 May 2020.

Prof. Werner Rieder-Preis 2019

Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Patrick Hölzl

Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Patrick Hölzl is winner of the Prof. Werner Rieder-Preis 2019. He received the award from the association Verein zur Förderung der Schalterforschung for his PhD work ‘Detection of defective bond wire connections in integrated circuits utilizing a GMR line array developed for magnetic field measurements with high spatial resolution’.

The award endowed with € 2.500,-- was handed over at the evening event of the OVE Energietechnik Tagung on 16th October 2019 in the Messe Innsbruck.

Short video clip broadcast on ServusTV

In the context of Mr. Gabriel Ecker´s master thesis an autonomous amphibious inspection robot was developed.

A short video clip, opens an external URL in a new window shows the robot navigating autonomously in a tunnel drainage pipe. This was originally broadcast on ServusTV in April 2020.
