- says Univ.-Prof. Dr. Christoph Teller in an interview with the Kronen Zeitung about the consequences of the sharp rise in fuel prices, parallel behavior in consumption and tips for shopping.

Based on the high inflation in the last weeks and months the Austrians are confronted with unprecedented problems. Inflation has always been relatively low compared to other countries (e.g. Southern and Eastern Europe). The differences in the consumer worlds are thus amplified. On the one hand, people spend a lot of money on vacations and clothing, but save money on groceries. "For the discounters and the low-priced private labels the hour strikes now" - of it Univ.-Prof. Dr. Christoph Teller is convinced. His tip: shop smarter. Planning in advance is even more important than comparing prices.
