Final WiSe 2022 Event in a Virtual Space

On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, research projects from the 2021/2022 Winter Semester at the Institute of Information Systems - Information Engineering were summarized during a festive closing event. Although the event was held at the Science Park last spring, the event had to take place this semester online. Organized via the virtual space "Gather Town", a virtual space was created in which people could move around and interact with each other.

Following opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Krumay and lecturer Dr. Rückel, the students presented their research findings. At the start of the semester, students were divided into groups and given a project topic. Once again, a number of interested idustrial partners were recruited to carry out the research projects. The 11 groups presented their project findings in the form of posters and management papers. The project teams presented their findings in separate virtual rooms. Download the management papers here.

The following projects were discussed:

  • Agile Processes
  • Application Development Digitization Scale
  • Barrier Factors Digital Payment Generation 65+
  • Business Continuity Management & Digital Transformation
  • Impact of digitalization on information management
  • Decide-O-Bot Location Decisions
  • Digital data and information presentation
  • Digital Workspace
  • Closed networks as enablers of digitalization
  • Integration of learning content and design of a learning platform
  • Visualization of IT key figures with MS Power BI (will be provided later)

Following the interesting presentations on cutting-edge topics, the participants engaged in extensive discussions. The students not only demonstrated their expertise and conveyed collected experiences, those in attendance provided valuable feedback. Afterwards, guests were able to come together and enjoy a productive, social exchange and talk about new projects. In all, the closing event was an outstanding opportunity to interactively exchange information and come together.

The Institute of Information Systems - Information Engineering would like to sincerely thank all of the students, project partners, administration, and technological resources. We look forward to upcoming events during the 2022 Summer Semester!
