René Riedl (Institute for Business Informatics) on Zoom-Fatigue in the Austrian News

Assoc. Univ.-Prof. Dr. René Riedl

Video-conferencing fatigue refers to feelings of exhaustion and fatigue resulting from using video-conference tools such as Zoom, Teams, Skype, and Webex. Professor Riedl has developed a theory about the source of video-conferencing fatigue that includes findings in neuroscientific and cognitive psychological research. The academic paper will be published shortly in the journal Electronic Markets. In regard to a more practical perspective, corresponding findings about video-conferencing fatigue have been summarized in the 2nd edition of his book "Digitaler Stress" (2021, Linde Verlag).
