Development and History.

  1. The department at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, opens an external URL in a new window was founded in October 2000 as a sub-department of the Department of Analysis and Numerical Mathematics.

  2. In January 2014 it became an independent institute --> Institute of Financial Mathematics.

  3. As the institute has extended the fields of research over the years, the institute was renamed to Institute of Financial Mathematics and Applied Number Theory in spring 2015.
