Welcome to the Institute of Management Accounting

The Institute of Management Accounting was established in 2008 and has since been headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dorothea Greiling. The research fields of the institute, belonging to the Faculty of Social Science, Economics and Business, are in accordance with the development plan of the Johannes Kepler University in the field of management accounting. The Institute of Management Accounting focuses in particular on the areas of Behavioral Management Accounting, University Controlling, Network Controlling, Performance Management, Public Value, Stakeholder Accountability and Sustainability Accounting. As an institutional field, the public sector and the non-profit sector are of particular importance.

The courses offered by the institute, which primarily covers teaching content in the area of management accounting, include courses for bachelor, master and diploma studies as well as doctoral studies. In the course of the conversion to the Bachelor-Master-System an independent main subject "Management Accounting" was established. In addition, the institute offers lectures within the framework of the graduate program Health Care Management, in which Mrs. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dorothea Greiling acts as academic director.
