[Translate to Englisch:] Dr. Martin Hiebl

Within the framework of a workshop on the creation of reviews for scientific journals, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Hiebl, University Professor for Management Accounting and Control at the University of Siegen and Visiting Professor at the JKU Linz, provided interesting insights into the publication process. The focus was especially on peer reviews by anonymous reviewers. In a Zoom meeting with participants from JKU (staff and doctoral students), the following topics among others were discussed:

  • Why should you participate in peer reviews as a reviewer?
  • How should you conduct a review and what should you pay attention to?
  • How should you write a review?
  • How should we proceed in a second round of review?

The workshop was concluded with a multi-layered discussion concerning the questions and own experiences of the participants regarding the creation of reviews, the review process and other related aspects.
