The Institute of Management Control and Consulting focuses on issues of crisis management from a business management perspective. In particular, it examines whether and how judicial and extrajudicial restructuring options can contribute to the long-term survival of Austrian companies.

On the one hand, the empirically oriented research shows ways and approaches for crisis prevention as well as crisis management. In our long-term studies, we have been analysing judicial and extrajudicial reorganisation and insolvency cases in cooperation with creditor protection associations for more than ten years.
