Management and Religion

The Institute of Management Control & Consulting has been dealing with interdisciplinary issues for many years. While family business research has been a long-standing research focus of the Institute, the interfaces between management and religion have developed into a separate research area "Management and Religion" in recent years.

The research topic "Controlling in Monasteries" focuses on institutions which, due to their centuries-long lifespan, are among the most long-lasting organisations worldwide and which, in various aspects, have links to family businesses.

Our research has also taken up the intensive international discourse on "Business, Management and Spirituality" and deals with questions of values and spirituality at the workplace ("Workplace Spirituality").
