Equipment.

The Institute of Mechatronic Design and Production has the following facilities and equipment at its disposal:

CAx lab

Our CAx teaching lab is equipped with 15 workstations.
Here students learn to use various software packages, such as: PTC Creo, Siemens NX, ABAQUS, Mechatronics Concept Designer, Deform, Maple, Matlab/Simulink, ...

Workshop

Our workshop features machines from a conventional lathe to a 5 axis universal CNC-machining center. Our manufacturing capacity is also utilized by other institutes through commissioned work.

Rapid prototyping lab

The rapid prototyping lab is equipped with a variety of 3D printers, a 3D laser scanner and a VR environment. To illustrate virtual commissioning, a demonstrator has been developed in student research projects, and is constantly being expanded with functionalities.
