This week, we commemorate the deadly collapse of the Rana Plaza garment factory in Bangladesh eight years ago. In their new publication From Rana Plaza to Covid-19: Deficiencies and Opportunities for a New Labour Governance System in Garment Global Supply Chains, opens an external URL in a new window in the International Labour Review, a journal published by the International Labour Organization (ILO), Elke Schüßler together with Steve Frenkel (UNSW Sydney) develop the concept of a labour governance system and discuss avenues for strengthening the labour governance system in Bangladesh's garment industry.
