Research Programs

Our research program covers the whole range of organizational science - from a micro-theoretical perspective on behavioral and decision-making processes within organizations to a macro-theoretical perspective on interorganizational relations and the institutional embeddedness of organizations. It is not only international, but also strongly interdisciplinary. We cooperate closely with experts from political science, sociology, economic geography, business informatics and economic history. One example is the research initiative "Interdisciplinary Commodity Studies" founded together with Prof. Ernst Langthaler at JKU.

Our main research areas cover the topics listed below. You can also find some of our projects on Research Gate:

  • Organizing Creativity and Innovation

  • Digital transformation and platform economy

  • Social change and sustainability

  • Interorganizational networks and clusters

  • Institutional work and organizational fields
