Development.

History

In the winter semester of 1967/68 a chair of Roman law was established at the university of social and economic sciences in Linz, owner a. Prof. Dr. Marianne Meinhart (habilitated in Vienna with Prof. Kreller)

With habilitation from the Roman law came as second independent specialist representative 1975 Prof. Dr. Peter Apathy who has been appointed ordinary of Roman and civil law since 1977 (Professor emeritus since the winter semester 2016).

With winter semester 1991 Prof. DDr. Georg Klingenberg from Graz followed as professor of Roman law to the chair of Marianne Meinhart (Professor emeritus 2012, died on 21.07.2016).
