Internationale Wirtschaftsfilmtage 2020", opens an external URL in a new window, the movie "Cats, Rats and Lovebirds", written by Moritz Brehm and Martyna Grydlik, won the Silver Cup of the "Grand Prix Victoria" in the category "Technology, Research and Development" in June 2020.

The short movie Cats, Rats & Lovebirds (M. Grydlik, M. Brehm) shows a seemingly perfect double date - if it wasn't for the salt shaker, some crystal structures and the Heisenberg uncertainty principle...

The Linz University of Arts is cooperating with Wissenstransferzentrums West, opens an external URL in a new window to find new alternative strategies of science communication. In line with the three movies "Maybe Palermo", "Rhinospider: Eine Operation in drei Akten" and "Battery Betty", the latest production „Cats. Rats and Lovebirds“ is a new cineastic approach to natural scientific research and dedicates itself to quantum physics research on the topic "Electrically driven Ge Quantum dot lasers towards on-chip applications".

The product of this interdisciplinary cooperation between WTZ West together with Moritz Brehm and Martyna Grydlik (Institute of Semiconductor Physics, JKU Linz) and Luzi Katamay and Christian Dietl of LAS GAFAS FILMS is an intimate play between longdrinks, quantum physics and nano lasers.
