Dr. DI Christian Schimpf

Postdoctoral Research Associate at University of Oxford
Guest Scientist group Rastelli

Curriculum Vitae

Christian’s academic career started in 2012 with the beginning of his physics studies at the Johannes Kepler University, where he obtained his PhD in 2022.
His research at JKU focussed on semiconductor quantum dots, with an emphasis on the generation of non-classical light for quantum optics and applications in the context of quantum communication.
Since 2023 Christian is working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, with a focus on spin physics in GaAs quantum dots, aiming at the implementation of long-lived matter-qubits for quantum technology.
