Curriculum Vitae

Christoph Mahringer was born in Linz, Austria in 1982. He studied Medical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and finished 2007 with his diploma thesis about atomic force microscopy on carbamide peroxide treated human enamel. After one year at the department for radiation physics and radiological protection at the Klinikum Wels Grieskirchen Christoph worked as a research associate at the Center for Advanced Bioanalysis (CBL) in Linz on DNA microarrays from 2008-2010. Since September 2010 he has worked for the biomedical technology department at the General Hospital in Linz with focus on dialysis and safety inspections of medical devices.
In 2013 he received his M.Sc. degree in health studies from the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria. His master thesis was about the development of an autonomic nervous system evaluation method by ECG analysis which has been realized in close collaboration with the department of neurology at the AKh Linz GmbH.
In 2014 a cooperation between ISP, the department for operational intensive care and anesthesia as well as the department for neurology and psychiatry, both at the AKh Linz, was established which raised the opportunity of a PhD research on the analysis of biomedical signals and their use for disease detection.
