Gergő Bognár was born in Mosonmagyaróvár, Hungary in 1990. He studied Computer Science at the ELTE Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary), where he received his BSc degree in 2012, and his MSc degree in 2014, with distinction. During his Masters, he specialized in mathematical modelling, numerical methods, image and signal processing. He received his Ph.D. from Eötvös Loránd University in 2020. In his dissertation, biomedical signal and image processing problems were addressed by means of mathematical modelling and transformation methods. In 2017, he became an assistant lecturer at the Department of Numerical Analysis at the Eötvös Loránd University. Since 2020, he is a member of the Institute of Signal Processing.

His current research interests include signal and image processing, biomedical signals, adaptive signal representations, numerical analysis, and machine learning.
