Location.

We are located on the 2nd floor of the Computer Science Building (also known as Science Park 3). This building is highlighted in blue (below) on the far east (right side) of campus.

Directions

By train: The train schedules can be found at ÖBB (or OEBB), opens an external URL in a new window. From the main train station of Linz (Hauptbahnhof Linz) proceed as follows: To the university campus: take tram number 1 or 2 from “Hauptbahnhof” to “Universität”; get out at “Universität” (the terminal station, it takes 24 min from “Hauptbahnhof” to “Universität”) and cross the road.

By plane: The Vienna Airport (VIE) has regular, direct trains to Linz main train station. With Austrian Airlines, opens an external URL in a new window it is even possible to book a flight via Vienna to Linz train station with "airport code" LZS for the Linz Train Station. Linz also has its own airport - the Blue Danube Airport (airport code: LNZ). However, it is mostly only connected to the hub cities Frankfurt and Vienna. On weekdays (Monday-Saturday) and once on Sundays (at 16:30), there is a shuttle bus to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof Linz). At the train station take tram number 1 or 2 to “Universität” and then proceed to the university campus as described above. There is also the possibility to take a taxi at the airport (the cost is approximately 40 EUR).

By car: Coming from the freeway A1, at the freeway intersection “Knoten Linz” leave the freeway A1. Then you are on the A7 in the direction Prag-Freistadt. After crossing the Danube river, take the second exit “Linz-Dornach”. At the traffic lights, go straight ahead and follow “Altenberger Strasse”. After approximately 800m and crossing the tram rails and traffic lights, you see the terminal station of the tram at your right. Straight after the next traffic light turn left onto the campus parking site (see also map below). You are issued a parking ticket at the entrance to the parking site. The ticket can be paid for at one of the pay booth located at various places around the parking site.
