Human-machine-teaming, the cooperation between human and machine or machines, is the center of our research agenda. This includes fundamental principles and technologies in the fields of networked, distributed and mobile systems, middleware solutions up to application development.We are also developing techniques and tools for modelling, rating and analysing such cooperative systems. Multidisciplinarity and being close to applications are cornerstones of our research strategy.

In teaching, we cover essential courses of the computer science and business informatics fields of studies via the courses softwaredevelopment, information systems and multimedia systems. We also offer specialization and advanced courses in the areas of mobiles computing, cooperative systems, web performance, model engineering, intelligent information systems.
