Research Areas

Human and robot mobility characterization:

Data-driven analysis and modeling of movement and mobility for use in location- and mobility-aware systems, such as vehicular road traffic, mobile Internet of Things, and mobile cyber-physical systems.

Wireless ad-hoc networking:

Experiment-driven characterization of wireless links and opportunistic establishment of wireless links for local communication such as between drones (unmanned aerial networks), smart phones, in disaster scenarios, and in hybrid infrastructure/ad-hoc networks.

Mobile networked systems:

Optimized networking on different layers by leveraging and anticipating performance characteristics of networks.

Human-robot teaming:

Communication and coordination between humans and machines.
