The JKU Learning Center - Watch Us Grow.

Construction on the JKU Learning Center began in June 2018. The new addition is scheduled to be completed in March 2020 and will be followed by completing the interior design and furnishings.
The original library building was built in the 1980s and the new expansion gives the old building a new floor that extends impressively into the forecourt, boasting a green atrium as well as a beautiful sweeping grand staircase. The vertical and horizontal expansion on the new third floor of the Main Campus Library creates new research areas, attractive study zones (open, but also with closed study areas for groups), areas to actively support communication, and extended hours.
The JKU Learning Center will be accessible from inside of the library by stairs as well as an elevator, but also via the grand, sweeping outside staircase that will no doubt become a landmark feature in the new library square.
