Construction on the expanding the library building began in June 2018.
The original building was completed during the 1980s and the new plans will add an extended forecourt area as well as a green courtyard and a spacious outside staircase.
During construction, library visitors can enter the building via the secure access area.
The vertical and horizontal extension on the Main Campus Library's new third floor will create new research areas, attractive studying areas (open, but also closed areas for group learning) and communication areas with longer opening hours.
In the future, library users can use either the staircase or elevator to access the new third-floor Learning Center as well as the open, new, striking staircase that will be a showcase feature and cover the square in front of the library.
