In which content can OA articles be published?
In subscription journals that have an OA publishing option (= hybrid) as well as Gold Open Access journals.

What types of articles will be accepted?
Primary research, review articles. No editorials, letters, etc.

Which licenses are available?
Depending on the selected journal, etc. CC-BY 4.0, CC-BY-NC 4.0, CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0

Which authors will be accepted?
Corresponding authors who are affiliated with JKU at the time of acceptance.

How are the authors identified?
By the e-mail domain, and/or institution name (JKU), or the IP address.

Are FWF articles covered?
Yes, up until the end of 2026.

Are there any costs or fees for authors?
No. There are no costs or fees for Open Access publishing in Wiley subscription journals

What is the process for authors?
After being accepted, Wiley will send the eligible author an e-mail about the option of an OA position for the article. The author will access the dashboard and follow the instructions. The author can choose between Online Open and Closed Access. Wiley will subsequently notify the JKU library and contact the author if there are any questions.
