Which authors will be accepted?
Corresponding authors who are employed at the JKU or at KUK at the time the article is accepted.
How are the authors identified?
By indicating the institution (JKU or KUK).
Are there any costs or fees for authors?
No. There is a publication fund and the reduced author fees of € 200 for Open Access in De Gruyter subscription journals are automatically paid for out of this fund until the account is exhausted. All eligibility criteria must be met.
What is the process for authors?
Each month, the library reviews a report regarding JKU articles accepted for publication in De Gruyter subscription journals. The author will then receive an e-mail from the library or publishing company containing a form for the CC-BY licence. If the author agrees, the signed form will be returned directly to the publisher.
Please note: As this is a pilot project with the publisher, the workflow process has not yet been completely finalized.
