At the Ars Electronica Festival

In her talk at the conference panel "Humanizing AI" Martina Mara stood up for the need of diversity in tech development.

Together with Roberto Viola (European Commission), Hiroshi Ishii (MIT Media Lab), Harald Leitenmüller (Microsoft Österreich), Simon Euringer (BMW Group), Alexander Mankowsky (Daimler), and Keiichiro Shibuya (Composer and Musician), Martina Mara presented at this year's Ars Electronica conference panel "Humanizing AI". The panel dived into the debate of how the leading developers can make sure that AI systems stay humane, fair and responsible.

Martina Mara advocated diversity in tech development. On one side in the groups of developers, the background, mindsets and perspective of these people, on the other side diversity concerning the datasets that are used to train AI systems, are important factors for an "all-humans-centered" AI.
