Well-known quantum physicist Anton Zeilinger nominated the JKU researcher personally and during an election meeting, the general assembly appointed Bernhard Jakoby, professor of Microelectronics at the JKU, to head the Academy. Back in the fall, Prof. Jakoby held a public presentation, speaking about his work and field of research.

The International Academy Traunkirchen provides support to young people in their academic pursuit in fields of engineering and natural sciences. The Academy is also committed to informing the public about current achievements in science.
