We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our dynamic research team as a PhD/Postdoc researcher in Machine Learning and in Machine Learning for Life Sciences. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge research projects in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence, with a focus on developing innovative algorithms and techniques for solving complex problems in various domains.

Location:

  • Linz or Vienna

Job description:

  • conduct independent research in the field of deep learning or its applications,
  • collaborate in machine learning and deep learning projects 
  • publish in renowned international journals and conferences
  • supervise students; prepare and hold lectures in a thriving AI study program
  • engage in the institute‘s teaching activities within the Artificial Intelligence curriculum.

Requirements:

  • PostDoc “Machine Learning in Life Sciences” (LS-PD): PhD degree or equivalent in machine learning or closely related field, such as Computer Science or Bioinformatics. Publications and track record in the area of
    • machine learning
    • deep learning
    • one application field: molecular biology, medicine, bioinformatics, chemoinformatics
  • PostDoc position “Machine Learning” (ML-PD): PhD degree or equivalent in machine learning or closely related field, such as Computer Science with strong focus on machine learning. Publications and track record in the area of at least two of the following
    • machine learning
    • deep learning
    • mathematics
    • signal processing
    • computer vision
    • speech processing
    • natural language processing
  • PhD candidate position “Machine Learning in Life Sciences” (LS-PhD): MSc degree or equivalent in machine learning or closely related field, such as Computer Science or Bioinformatics. University-level courses and training in the area of
