Initiated in 2019, the alliance is not only a starting point to jointly shape future-oriented education, but to also initiate reciprocol cross-fertilization in research and development. Initial activities are part of the TRANSFORM project.
The Johannes Kepler University Linz and Ars Electronica are bound by a common goal to strengthen a sustainable interaction between art and science, seeking an open transfer of knowledge with society to foster and encourage a concept of technology that puts people at the forefront. In keeping with these efforts, the Johannes Kepler University Linz has held the prestigious Ars Electronica Festival at its campus since 2020, jointly implementing various projects, including the Festival University and ArtScience Residency.
