Every day, over 300 members share the OIC's 8,000 m2 open space to work together on groundbreaking projects and cutting-edge ideas. What better way to celebrate the community and innovation than with a festive summer party!
Later we had to move the party inside on the account of the weather but one thing was certain: party guests quickly realized our OIC is also perfect for parties!
After numerous festive events had to be cancelled over the past two years, it was all the more enjoyable to meet up and spend the evening with many colleagues, partners, friends, and co-workers at the OIC on July 7.
Over 150 guests were on-hand to enjoy culinary delights provided by our own OIC sausage stand, a refreshing summer signature cocktail chosen by the community, and the nitrogen ice cream stand! DJ Beatrice, opens an external URL in a new window also proved that the OIC can most certainly double as a dance floor.
Our LIT Labs - LIT Robopsychology Lab, the LIT Secure and Correct Systems Lab and the LIT Cyber-Physical Systems Lab created team challenges that quickly became popular event highlights! The challenges included building a tower made out of noodles, picking locks, and a trivia quiz based on our in-house OICpida. Party guests enjoyed the fun and worked up quite a sweat!
We would like to thank everyone who helped out, especially the labs for organizing the challenges, and the JKU 'clean room team' for the spectacular nitrogen ice cream! But the biggest thanks goes to our OIC members for joining in on the fun - without you, the party would not have been a party!
