New paper on uncanny "machines with a mind" 

appearing soon in Journal "Computers in Human Behavior"

Martina Mara is co-author of the research article "The Uncanny of Mind in a Machine: Humanoid Robots as Tools, Agents, and Experiencers", which will soon appear in the journal Computers in Human Behavior. It reports on four online experiments based on theories of mind perception and the "Uncanny Valley" effect that investigated robot-specific, user-specific, and context-specific determinants of the eeriness perception of assistive machines. The first author was Markus Appel from the University of Würzburg.
