On February 1, 2023, the JKU Business School Lunch Time Seminar was held with a focus on sustainability and corporate responsibility.

Markus Isack, MSc from the Institute of Management Accounting and Auditing presented an exciting paper on "The Role of CSR Report Assurance and ESG Rating in Bank Manager's Judgment on Sustainability-linked Credit Lending Decisions". It was discussed by Ass.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Albert Traxler (Institute for Management Accounting).

In a second presentation on "Does ESG have an effect on the stock-market dependence? Empirical exploration of S&P 1200 companies shows the divergent nature of ESG pillars" Ing. Lucie Staněk Gyönyör (Institute of Financial Complex Systems, Masaryk University, Brno/CZ) gave an insight into her research. Assoz. Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Johann Burgstaller from the Institute of Corporate Finance/Asset Management gave valuable feedback.

The event was moderated by Assoz. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dipl.-Kffr. Birgit Grüb-Martin (Institute for Management Accounting) and Ass.-Prof. MMag. Dr. Thomas Brunner-Kirchmair (Institute for Corporate Finance).

Afterwards, the discussions were continued and deepened with sandwiches and drinks provided by JKU Business School.

The Lunch Time Seminar is a series of events organized by the Mittelbau Fachbereich BWL/WIN - Business School. The goal is an informal exchange among colleagues, the opportunity to present current research projects and to receive feedback.
