Upcoming activities at the EGOS 2021 conference

With the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, the 37th European Group for Organizational Studies Colloquium will again take place virtually - but the local organizers have set up a Youtube channel, opens an external URL in a new window to virtually welcome all EGOSians to Amsterdam, where EGOS 2021 would have taken place. The Institute of Organization Science is involved in various exciting activities at EGOS. Elke Schüßler is again, as last year, co-organizing the EGOS Pre-Colloquium Post-Doctoral & Early Career Scholars Workshop, opens an external URL in a new window. Together with the academic movement OS4future, she is also organizing a Sub-Plenary on "OS4Future: Walking the Talk and Talking the Walk about the Climate Crisis, opens an external URL in a new window". Giuseppe Delmestri (WU Vienna), Gabriela Gutierrez-Huerter O (King's College London) and Elke Schüßler are co-organizing the Subtheme 32 "Generativity and Inclusivity through Engaged Scholarship: Connecting Theory, Methods, and Praxis, opens an external URL in a new window". Benjamin Schiemer is presenting the paper "The album and the antibody: Inviting and ignoring ideas in creative processes" in Subtheme "Generating and Recognizing New Ideas: The Problematic Journey of Novelty, opens an external URL in a new window" and Georg Reischauer is Co-Organizer of the Subtheme 61 "Organizing Platforms: What Are the New Forms and Practices?, opens an external URL in a new window". Elke Schüßler is also a facilitator in the "Strategy-as-Practice (SAP) Community Day 2021: The Inclusiveness of Practice Research and Practice Research of Inclusiveness, opens an external URL in a new window" and a mentor in the "PDW 02: Organization Studies in the Anthropocene: System Change, Not Climate Change, opens an external URL in a new window" . As Executive Board member and Vice-Chair, Elke Schüßler will also present the winners of the "That's Interesting Award" at the virtual award ceremony and will participate in the various Board Meetings. How much more fun all this would have been in Amsterdam!
