Austrian Student Union: Rector Lukas Congratulates New Chairperson

After the official change of leadership at the JKU Austrian Student Union, JKU Rector Meinhard Lukas congratulated the new ÖH chairperson, Edin Kustura.

Rector Lukas remarked: “I look forward to constructive collaboration in the future and wish his predecessor, Helena Ziegler, all the best for the future.” Rector Lukas is optimistic about the survey results recently presented by the Austrian Student Union.

The Rector added, “The fact that over 5,000 students took part in the survey confirms our educational philosophy in that we aims to cultivate and create reflective personalities who take an active interest in their university.”

Confirming the University’s Strategy
Over 60% of those surveyed are satisfied with campus developments, and just as many are also satisfied with the Johannes Kepler University’s image and marketing campaign. Rector Lukas emphasized, “This confirms our strategy that we will continue to implement this spring as we move forward with our campus enhancement plans.”

The suggestions and proposals provided by the Austrian Student Union are valuable as students are an important indicator for general satisfaction at the JKU. Rector Lukas thanked former ÖH chairperson Helena Ziegler for her hard work and dedication and added, “What I particularly appreciate about the student union is its openness and willingness to discuss and work on developments together.”
