Eleven JKU students were given a unique opportunity to attend the JEC World 2019 trade fair and represent the JKU Linz. The JEC World 2019 is the world’s leading composite show and trade fair. Together with partner companies Alpex, Engel and Hexcel Autoteile, the Institute for Polymer Product Engineering (JKU) presented a new procedure at the 2019 JEC World to manufacture components made out of recycled carbon fibers. DI Dr. Martin Reiter remarked, "They are already being manufactured in a small series."
The JKU stand was part of a brand new feature at JEC: An Education Hub that not only gave international universities an opportunity to present themselves, but also featured a job center and provided student workshops and competitions.
