Austrian Federal Minister Holzleitner earned her degree in Social Economics at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. During today’s visit - and as part of a working discussion and campus tour - JKU Rector Stefan Koch and Vice Rectors Christiane Tusek, Alberta Bonanni, and Alexander Freischlager shared an update about campus enhancements and new additions to her alma mater. The Minister then met with Vice-Rector Elgin Drda at the JKU MED Campus to learn more about state-of-the-art educational methods as demonstrated by the virtual anatomy room in the JKU medSPACE.

Science Minister Eva-Maria Holzleitner remarked: "As a modern campus-style university, the JKU is impressive: both with a distinctive image and an inspirational feel. The wide range of courses offered fosters innovative connections between different academic disciplines. Over the past few years, the JKU's impressive growth has made the university a driving force within the region and given it a reputation that extends far beyond the state's borders."

During the visit, JKU Rector Stefan Koch added: “We look forward to working with Austrian Minister Eva-Maria Holzleitner and are confident that we can accomplish a great deal together to not only benefit the JKU's future, but the entire research community as well.”
