Dean Michael Mayrhofer is New Constitutional Court Substitute Member
The Dean of the JKU Faculty of Law has been appointed as a substitute member of the Constitutional Court.
The federal president has proposed to appoint Prof. Mayrhofer to the Constitutional Court as a new substitute member to stand in if any of the regular 14 members is unable attend.
Mayrhofer, head of the Institute for Administrative Law and Administrative Theory at the JKU, is also head of the Linz Institute of Technology (LIT) Law Lab, conducting interdisciplinary research focusing on the legal dimensions of the digital transformation in particular. As part of his subject area in energy law, he also heads the Energy Law Department at the JKU’s Energy Institute as well as at the new Future Energy Lab at LIT.
