Engineering at the JKU: Quo vadis?

A discussion titled “Engineering at the JKU: Quo vadis?” was recently held at the JKU to discuss the future of STEM areas at the JKU as well as provide information.

The Johannes Kepler University’s 2019-2024 Development Plan outlines the university’s strategic priorities for the coming years, focusing on sharpening the JKU’s profile and supporting its existing fields of excellence. In the area of education, there are concrete plans to expand interdisciplinary programs and create new degree programs, particularly in the field of STEM areas, NaWiTec, Medical Engineering and the planned program of mechanical engineering.

Following a presentation about the extensive package of measures in the field of engineering, a distinguished panel of experts from industry, business, academic and the local government held a discussion session.
