Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, Global Business students have been able to complete their studies according to the program curriculum.

Although the Coronavirus pandemic threw off the schedule for the Master’s degree program in Global Business, efforts by the Global Business team under the direction of Prof. Robert Breitenecker made it possible to adapt procedures so that all of the Global Business students could complete their studies on time.

Over the past few weeks, program organizers switched from teaching in-person classes to teaching entirely online via distance learning. At the beginning of April, the Austria part of the PAC program at the JKU opened via Zoom and JKU faculty members are also using Zoom to hold their courses. Prof. Breitenecker remarked: "One of the many challenges is the time difference between Canada and Peru but on the whole it is working very well." The ACT program is wrapping up this week and final project presentations with students and partners are being held online over various time zones (Taiwan, Canada). Program manager Julia Semper added: "When the sessions begin, some start by saying 'good morning' and others start by saying 'good evening' – a perfect example of the way our Global Business students are currently spread all over the world."
