Software engineering focuses on organizing and modeling related data structures and operating software systems. In short, software engineering enables programs to run smoothly, quickly and reliably. In this regard, it is all the more impressive that the JKU is one of the world’s leaders in this field. The latest JSS ranking was recently published in the Elsevier Journal of Systems and Software and analyzed technical articles between 2013 to 2020. The result was No. 35 in the category "Most Active Institutions in Software Engineering Research".
