Researchers at the JKU Faculty of Medicine are currently working on detecting pediatric neurological disorders with a goal of shortening the diagnostic times and improving treatments. ETA Heiztechnik based in Hofkirchen is keen on supporting these efforts. During an employee festivity in July, ETA CEO Florian Minihuber handed over a €25,000 check in support of Priv. Doz. Dr. Gudrun Gröppel’s initiative in cooperation with the Austrian Institute for Technology, EpiCare4Kids. The initiative focuses on developing mobile EEG devices for children. Dr. Gröppel is grateful for the generous donation and remarked, “This means that families whose children are affected no longer need to be admitted to hospital for sleep EEG examinations; the examinations can be conducted at home.”
