JKU Civil Dialog: EU Commissioner Addresses Citizens’ Concerns

Christos Stylianides, EU Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection, will visit the JKU on April 4.

EU Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection will be available to answer your questions on April 4 (11.00 am to 12.30 pm).
Speak with Christos Stylianides about preparing for future challenges and what kind of aid is provided both within and outside of Europe.

The EU and its member countries are the largest providers of humanitarian aid worldwide. Last year, the EU provided over 80 countries with humanitarian aid. A large part of the funds were used to support the conflict-affected population in Syria and refugees from neighboring countries. The EU also provided aid and support for people displaced by ongoing conflicts in Afghanistan, Columbia and the Horn of Africa.
