JKU Computer Scientist Nominated for President of the ACM

 

Prof. Gabriele Anderst has been nominated for President of the Association for Computing Machinery

The JKU computer scientist has been nominated as a candidate for president of the world's largest scientific computer society. Her rival candidate is Google's Vice-President Elisabeth Churchill. Prof. Anderst remarked: "I am especially excited because the ACM is still very US-dominated and my candidacy certainly proves how much global recognition computer sciences in Linz is gaining."

The final decision will be rendered at the end of May.
