JKU Welcome Day

The JKU welcomed 35 new employees.

The first Welcome Day of this year took place at the JKU on February 6, 2019, welcoming 35 new employees to the university.

Mag. Brigitte Hütter, MSc, JKU Vice-Rector of HR, Diversity & IT, and Mag. Alexander Freischlager, head of Operations Management, addressed regulations, policies, JKU facts and figures, information about the university’s history and organizational structure as well as current developments. The new university employees also received information about JKU departments such as HR Development, HR Management, and Information Management. The JKU’s data protection officer spoke about data privacy laws and how to handle (sensitive) personal information. Works’ council representatives for general and academic employees introduced themselves and spoke about their respective areas of responsibility. The lunch buffet provided a casual atmosphere to get to know each other better before the afternoon sessions began, introducing research funding/Fodok, study law, occupational safety, and GroupWise.
