The LIMAK brings company executives and academia together. Founded on the idea of providing continual education to those who have earned an academic degree, LIMAK supports the further development of leadership and management skills in an international environment. Since its inception, 15,411 managers have completed advanced executive education programs at the LIMAK and 1,004 have earned a Master's or MBA degree.

In 2019, LIMAK expects 374 participants to enroll in academic programs and take part in online courses, a 15% increase over the previous year. Over the past nine years, the annual number of program participants has more than doubled. The IN.SPIRE section is also continuing its success as 122 projects for 56 companies will be carried out this year – a 20% increase compared to 2018. Since 2011, the number of annual projects has increased over eightfold. New online courses were launched in 2018 and during this second year, the number of participants has increased considerably to 26.

Prof. Dr. Meinhard Lukas, Rector of the Johannes Kepler University Linz, added, "New times require new answers. We need to bring current, major topics - such as digitization, individualization and globalization - together. This requires new, innovative forms of research and education. That's also why we launched the JKU Business School in October. Research findings at the Business School are transferred to managers and executives so they can continue working successfully in a world that is constantly changing. The LIMAK offers post-graduate education and underscores the success factor of 'lifelong learning'. The LIMAK is an innovative hub for business and academia and will soon be located directly at the JKU campus."
