Together with other researchers, Prof. Cristina Olaverri-Monreal (chair for Sustainable Transport Logistics 4.0 at the JKU) has published a book on the topic. New works collected by various authors actively involved in the field of human factors in the automotive industry were published in commemoration of the 8th anniversary of the IEEE ITS Workshop on Human Factors (http://hfiv.net, opens an external URL in a new window). These include extended versions of papers and tutorials presented at the IEEE ITSS Workshop on "Human Factors in Intelligent Vehicles" as well as additional in-depth analyses and detailed experimental and simulation findings. The papers focus on autonomous vehicles as well as the conditions needed to analyze automation, modeling and methods for road-user interaction, such as intelligent user interfaces, including brain-computer interfaces and simulation and analysis tools related to human factors.
